Baby bought me a new toy!
He had some 'bonus' and thought he should spend on me. 😂
He wanted to buy me a new Birkenstock initially but since my current one is still usable, why spend to get a new one?
So I told him that I would rather buy a bread maker.
What triggered me to buy a bread maker?
It's because me and my colleague, Gaby are always hungry around 3-4pm so we were saying the other day, it would be so good if we can have some healthy food. That's when I thought about making our own bread.
At least I can control the ingredients thus making it slightly healthier isn't it? 😜
My first bake!
It was a success.
Bread rose abit too high that it got flattened by the panel 😜
This is just a normal bread recipe.
Ingredients:
• 1 cup of warm milk (I used full cream)
• 1/2 cup of butter (softened)
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 4 cups of bread flour
• 2 1/4 of dry active yeast
According to my bread maker's manual, put the wet ingredients as the first layer followed by the dry ingredients.
Yeast to be put in the middle after the dry ingredients and salt should be placed at one corner.
This is because if you put salt on yeast and leave it for a few mins, the salt would kill the yeast.
Your bread will not rise then.
Another picture of my high rise bread 😂
My second bake was a different bread.
I tried out the Quaker recipe for Oatmeal Bread.
This time it didn't rise as high because I ran out of yeast 😣
Ingredients:
• 2 1/4 tsp quick rising yeast ( I used 1 3/4 tsp)
• 3 cups bread flour
• 1 cups Quaker instant oats
• 2 tbsp sugar
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 1/4 cups of milk
• 2 tbsp butter = 30g
Place according to the wet and dry ingredients sequence and then press start.
Oh oh..
Before I forgot, set to basic, light colour and it will automatically run for 3 hour.
From kneading till baking 😁
Colleagues say it taste good!
So happy.
Today's bread finished faster than the previous one 😂
Making food is my hobby and I'm now super motivated.
I just love to see people eating what I make happily. 😊
Life is simple and happy like that.
